Recreation
Fort McMurray residents have access to seven public indoor sports and fitness facilities, 70 outdoor sports fields, two golf courses, 44 parks, 57 playground and seven tennis courts.
In the immediate area, there are four vehicle-accessible campgrounds (one a provincial park and three provincial recreation areas) as well as 11 wildland provincial parks, four fly-in fishing lodges and vast tracts of undeveloped public land with hiking and off-road vehicle trails.
